State Meet: Day Two

The hot sun dominated the track meet today (well, at least until we left!), so shade was the goal as much as possible before and between races.  See the photos below to follow Alex's journey during her final day at State.

A strong kick at the end gave her a 6:06 finish, her fastest EVER!!!! 

She finished 10th overall.

Overall, Alex finished 9th (this race originally started with over 30 runners yesterday!).  Her time was 2:47, not her personal best, but definitely a great time for someone who just finished her mile less than an hour before!

We all appreciate your extra effort and time that you invest in the kids who participate in sports.  We never would have made it as far as we did without you.

State Meet at Concordia

On Saturday both runners ran in the 800 meter run.  Eric did a wonderful job and got his personal best (improving his time by almost 18 seconds!!!!).  Well done, Eric.  Alex also got a personal best and qualified for finals.  She will be running both the 1600 meter and the 800 meter runs on Sunday afternoon. 

Great job, both of you!!!!

Concordia Track Meet

Aside from it being a little too windy at times, it was a wonderful day for a track meet.  The weather was pleasantly cool and the sunshine never stopped!  The Warriors did a great job as a whole.  Enjoy some photos below from today's adventure.
